Record Results at BSix
Celebrations all round at BSix as students and staff achieved record A2 results. There was a 96% pass rate and a 20% improvement in A-C grades.

These results are all the more impressive because the number of A2 students has increased significantly. "The percentages are very impressive," says Philip Elliott, the College's Deputy Principal, " but the amazing story lies in the raw numbers. Last year, we achieved 18 A and A* grades but this year we achieved 46. Last year our students attained 36 B grades compared to 118 this year!"
In Art & Design 12 out of the 13 students achieved a grade C or higher. In Psychology 57 students sat A2 exams and, of these, 40 achieved a grade C or above. Similarly, there were 60 Sociology students and 40 of them achieved a grade C or higher including 7 grades As and an A*.

Top performing student was Jawad Bashorun who achieved 3 grades As and an A*. He is now off to Cambridge University to study Natural Sciences.
"These results are a brilliant achievement", Ken Warman, the College's Principal, concludes. "They are a tribute to the skill, dedication and hard work of students and staff at BSix. Year-on-year improvement, including massive increases in the number of higher grades, demonstrates that we are achieving our mission of high standards for all. Most of all, we are thrilled that these achievements are opening up more and more opportunities for our students."
