BSix celebrates Nigerian independence

On Monday 3rd October the canteen at BSix was buzzing as African drummers and dancers joined staff and students to celebrate 51 years of Nigerian independence.

The dancers struck up duos with students and staff. Our Deputy Principal, Philip Elliott , and our BSeven Officer , Nigel Stirling , took up the challenge of matching the dancing of the professionals.

Our students loved the event.Tayler Laycy posted this on Facebook: "Loved nigeria independence day, had so much fun." Stellar_rose tweeted :"Today was brilliant , great food and entertainment. Awesome BSix and go Nigeria!"

The day is one of many similar events held in the canteen to celebrate our diversity." It was lovely to see such a lively and happy event. We now look forward to celebrating Diwali and then Turkish Independence Day. There is such a buzz in the College these days .It is a joy to behold", says Denise Roulston , the Director of BSeven , Extended College.
