Exciting New Student Clubs at BSix
Over 1,000 students recently attended the BSeven Freshers' Fair to sign up for an extensive programme of extra-curricular activities available at the college.
BSeven: Extended College is the umbrella department for "learning beyond the classroom" at BSix and has been going from strength to strength since being established in 2010.

Comprising of student clubs, creative arts, sports, volunteering, university programmes, work experience, student voice and more; BSeven aims to enable students to develop skills and attributes to become rounded individuals on their journey to progressing to further study or the working world.
The fair hosted a number of stalls representing new activities to BSix including Glee Club and Drama Club which are being delivered by the Freedom Academy of Performing Arts and Dance Club which is being run by expert dance teachers who also teach at the famous Pineapple Studios in London.
Students will again be able to learn a new language with BSeven with Arabic, French and Spanish returning after a successful year last year. A group of keen students approached the BSeven team with a desire to learn Japanese which will be delivered for the first time at BSix.

The coming academic year will also be an extremely exciting one for any students involved in some of the new sporting activities including Swimming Club, Cheerleading, Netball and Volleyball adding to the very successful Football, Cricket, Basketball and Badminton teams at BSix. As BSix is also part of the "Get Set Network" for 2012, the BSix Sports teams will also have a lot of exciting Olympics events to look forward to over the next 12 months.
The Debate Club is also looking forward to an excellent year as Isabelle Lee joins our external facilitator roster. Isabelle has competed at the highest level in debating circles including the European and World university debating championships as well as being an experienced debating mentor for young people through a long history of working with the English Speaking Union and the Debate Mate organisation.
Our Model United Nations Club is also looking forward to another successful year after an excellent performance at the Sixth Form Colleges Forum MUN in Birmingham in March. The club will be led by Ikramul Choudary this year. Ikramul brings a wealth of experience to the role and is currently President of the MUN Society at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London.
