Key strengths of the college: "effective strategies to improve success rates" ; "good relationships which promote learning" ; "strong leadership"
- Ofsted 2009

Welcome to the BSix website. We are the only sixth form college in the area, specialising in the education of 16-18 year olds. We are big enough to offer the full range of A Levels, GCSEs and applied (‘vocational’) courses at all levels. At the same time, we are small enough for our students to receive lots of individual care and attention.

We are proud of our achievements. The national league table for 2008 places us in the top 5% of all schools and colleges for value-added at advanced level. A national A Level report rates our teaching and learning as ‘excellent’ and our students’ performance as ‘outstanding’.

Our facilities are first class; our teachers are committed and highly skilled. Our students will vouch for the top quality teaching and learning we offer.

Students need a college which is safe, stimulating and demanding. We provide just that.

Ken Warman
Principal

Principal of BSix since October 2006.  Ken Warman has a reputation for improving colleges in London.  He re-launched the A Level/GCSE department at Uxbridge College as the Uxbridge College Academy in 1998, improving the results by 20% in two years.  In his last post, as Head of Sixth Form at Tower Hamlets College, Ken led a 15-20% improvement in achievement at all levels, from entry to advanced, which largely contributed to the college being awarded beacon status in 2005.
