English Plus ESOL Skills for Life

If you are learning English for the first time then this is a good course for you. This is a full-time course in which you will improve your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. You will also improve your maths and computing skills. All students take the ESOL Skills for Life exams during the year. Students are also required to take a Numeracy (Maths) exam. When you have successfully completed the ESOL course you will be able to progress to another course of your choice at BSix. Some of our most successful students go on to study A Levels or BTEC National Diploma courses, and then go to university. There will be a variety of taster options from our following applied courses: Business and ICT, Health and Social Care, Hair & Beauty, Art and Design, Performing Arts and Music, Science, Sport, Leisure and Recreation.

There are no specific entry requirements. You will be given an initial assessment at your interview to determine your level of English. This will help us to put you in the right class for you.
