GCSE Mathematics
This is a very intensive resit course taken by students who have already achieved a Grade D in GCSE Maths, or an equivalent. You will study Algebra, Shape and Space, Data Handling and Number, using a range of different activities and a great deal of exam practice. There is a mock exam in January. A few students who do well in January may be entered for the Higher Tier, but in most cases we aim to get you to grade C standard on the Foundation Tier. There are two exams in May – one with and one without a calculator. An A-C grade in GCSE maths is often a requirement for university study.
